KJ-52's "Mental" Tops iTunes Christian & Gospel Charts, Theme for Monday Night Football

Christian rapper KJ-52 released his new EP Mental yesterday and it is already at the # 1 spot on the iTunes Christian & Gospel music chart.

KJ-52's single "Tonight" is being used as a theme song for ESPN's Monday Night Football.

“As a kid who grew up watching Monday Night Football, it’s a dream come true and an honor to be a part of the show,” said KJ-52 in a press release, “I am super excited!”

He also just released a music video for "Gameface [2nd Half Edition]" featuring Soul Glo Activatur, Flame, and KB.

"This is a world that seeks to break us down... in the game of life we have to be prepared. An athlete before he heads onto the field prepares himself for what he has to do that day by putting on his 'gameface'. This parallels what the bible calls 'the mind of Christ' and 'putting on the whole armor of God'."

The Mental Street Party Release Nights will partner with radio and hand picked Christian Universities and Clubs throughout the fall of 2014. Kicking off in Seattle WA, and wrapping at NYU, the tour will have unique exclusive Google hangout sessions with KJ and his collective of friends and artists that have come together with him to create this project and tour. These hangouts will include KB, SOUL GLOW ACTIVATUR, TEDASHI, SOCIAL CLUB, PROPAGANDA, LECRAE and many more, according to the release.
