Sunday Best Season 2 Finalist Dontavies Boatwright Passes Away

(November 9, 2012)  According to a press release from Parriscope Entertainment, BET Sunday Best season 2 finalist Dontavies Boatwright has passed away. Boatwright, who had been featured in Airplay 360, was well-known in the Jacksonville, Florida area and also nationally after his Top 5 finish on Sunday Best. Boatwright was signed to Jacksonville-based PEInc Gospel music label and is described on his Facebook page as a "singer, songwriter and minister of the gospel." Boatwright, 33, died of an apparent heart attack. Funeral service details are pending.
