Grammy-nominated Gospel singing legend and minister Daryl Coley passed away Tuesday night, March 15th, while in hospise care. He was 60.
Coley had tremendous vocal talent with chart-topping and memorable songs like "When Sunday Comes", "He's Preparing Me", "Jesus Saves" and many others. Coley first began performing with Edwin Hawkins and the Edwin Hawkins Singers an later left to collaborate with James Cleveland. Having performed in secular venues, Coley worked with artists like Philip Bailey of Earth, Wind & Fire, Rodney Franklin and Nancy Wilson. A minister of the gospel, Coley founded the Love Fellowship Tabernacle in Los Angeles.
Coley's son, Te’ceion Coley, took to Instagram to express some of his thoughts regarding his father’s passing, signing the touching note with, “I love you forever, Daddy.”
