Joshua Rogers Makes History as First Man, Youngest to Win BET's Sunday Best

(September 2, 2012) Gospel singer Joshua Rogers, made history Sunday night as he was crowned winner of BET's Sunday Best gospel singing competition. Rogers who wowed the judes and viewers with his incredible high register, is the youngest contestant to win BET's Sunday Best and also the first man. The 18-year-old Greeleyville, South Carolina native, wins a recording contract with Music World Gospel, a cash prize and a 2013 Ford Escape. Songs Rogers performed included Deitrick Haddon's "Well Done", Bebe and Cece Winans' "Love Lift Us Up Where We Belong", Vanessa Bell Armstrong's "Peace Be Still" and several others. Previous BET Sunday Best winners were Amber Bullock, Leandria Johnson, Y'Anna Crawley and Crystal Aikin.
